A Heart for Missions
I hope you all are enjoying our "cool" spring and the blessings God gives us each and every day.
I thought I'd give an update on my family. My oldest son, Andrew, just started a new job here in Chattanooga with Blue Cross and Blue Shield as HR manager. Sam and Ashley have been doing some traveling as well as getting trained to use "Eyegaze Technology." I had the opportunity to hear Caleb preach on Palm Sunday at his church in Oklahoma City. Have I told you lately about my incredible granddaughters: Chloe, Annabelle, and Cora??!! That would take another letter...
Following Easter, I attended the Joy Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee which emphasized disabilities and areas to help and be involved. It opened the door to a myriad of ways to assist and be an encouragement.
As many of you know, part of my ministry is teaching piano lessons with Christian values. My piano recital is during the last of May so my students are diligently preparing (I hope!) for this special occasion. It is rewarding to be part of their lives and encourage them to develop their gifts for the Lord.
Missions remains at the heart of my ministry. I am looking at various possibilities and avenues to comfort and encourage missionaries as they encounter difficulties in their lives. Starting in August I will be taking a four-month course entitled "Beyond Suffering" to help with traning in assisting in life-changing circumstances.
As always, THANK YOU to those who donate and/or pray specifically for me. God only knows how much this has meant to me and my heartfelt appreciation continues.
