One God - Many Nations

One God Many Nations

The last quarter of this year has given us tremendous opportunity for international outreach.

From September through November I had the opportunity of speaking and ministering to people from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Cuba. Amazingly, this all took place in various locations here in the United States!

In October I spoke at the multi-ethnic Madison Avenue Baptist Church of Paterson, New Jersey.  I have had the privilege of ministering at this church fo 30 years.  It is a church with nationalities representing the USA, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

We (the church) have a unique opportunity to reach many nationalities by ministering to those who have come to our shores. Our Gospel message is a singular message of a singular God and a singular plan of redemption. However, the Great Commission demands that our target audience be diverse.

We are both blessed and challenged as we face the opportunity and need of reaching the many ethnic groups within our own nation.

As we come to this Christmas season, Edi and I want to thank each of you who have a part in our ministry. Your prayers, donations, and other means of involvement with us have helped us reach out to these various nationalities. You are an encouragement and a blessing to us.

May God bless you at this special time of the year.

Abel Vaquero and Family Seals dec update 2

This is the Abel Vaquero family; they have been great friends since 1993. I was speaking in an Easter Evangelistic Campaign at Iglesia Bautista Madison Avenue when Abel and his wife Maria accepted Christ.  They along with their daughters and son are faithful and involved members of their church.  I was privileged to sit at their table representing Mexico at the International Dinner of the Mission Conference of Madison Avenue Baptist Church in October.

Alex and Eilyn Faxas

Seals dec update 3

In September I spoke at Iglesia Bautista Esperanza in Marianna, Florida where Alex Faxas is pastor. Alex and his wife Eilyn are from Cuba. Here, Edi and I are with Alex, Eilyn and their three sons.  Alex and Eilyn are a dynamic couple; they have ministered here in the US at Hispanic churches as well as in Costa Rica and Panama.  When Alex and Eilyn left Cuba, they found themselves living in Costa Rica. It was there that they trusted Christ. Shortly thereafter, Russ and Lynn Turner, missionaries to Costa Rica discipled Alex and Eiyln. That emphasis on discipleship has resulted in a couple that has been involved in ministry in Costa Rica, Panama and here in the US where they are reaching out to the Hispanic community
